VAT and our prices

The Government have recently changed the VAT rate from 17.5% to 15% with effect from Monday 1st December 2008.

We are letting you, our customers, know how we intend to pass this saving onto you.

Because this change in rate is only applicable for 13 months we are taking the following actions to pass the benefit to you, but to avoid additional costs in implementing the change.

Shows currently on sale No change in price

Regular events and cinema The scheduled price increase in April 2009 will not be implemented and the current prices will now be held until 31st March 2010 at which time they will be reviewed

New shows and events When fixing the prices for these with promoters the new VAT rate will be taken into consideration

Please note the above will only apply to shows and events directly organised by Worthing Theatres
