Inkheart (PG)
This action adventure is based on the novel of the same name by Cornelia Funke and stars Brendan Fraser, Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent. Mo (Fraser) is bookbinder who travels the world with his daughter, Meggie. After a visit from the slightly strange Dustfinger (Paul Bettany), Mo takes Meggie to stay with her Great Aunt Eleanor (Mirren) where he gets kidnapped by a group of evil henchmen and taken see the cruel Capricorn (Andy Serkis). Meggie discovers that her father is no ordinary bookbinder - he has the skill to read characters out of books. Both Dustfinger and Capricorn belong in the novel Inkheart and Meggie, Dustfinger and Aunt Eleanor must race against time to save her father from Capricorns clutches, find another copy of the book and return all the characters to where they belong - and rescue Meggie’s mother from inside the pages of the book, where she is trapped.
