The new film from director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet) is an epic love story set in northern Australia just before the outbreak of World War 2. English aristocrat, Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) inherits a vast cattle station, and when oppressive livestock barons plan to take her land she reluctantly joins forces with a rough and ready nameless stock-man (Hugh Jackman) to drive her herd hundreds of miles across Australia’s most unforgiving land. The continuing difficulties they encounter force them together and while their forbidden relationship develops, the Japanese army starts to plan their next attack...
