Bolt Gala Event
Worthing’s very own Bolt the Superdog paid a visit to the Connaught 2Screen Cinema this February Half Term…

Courtesy of Worthing And District Animal Rescue Service, Henry the dog welcomed everyone who came to watch the Gala Screening of the new Disney film BOLT at the Connaught 2Screen Cinema on Sunday 15th February. Henry, a terrier crossbreed was joined by Animal Welfare Officer Billy Elliot and WADARS committee member Elaine Sinclair, who obliged by dressing up as Mittens the cat. All three greeted cinema-goers in order to raise money for WADARS and in the hope of finding a home for fun-loving Henry, who has now been successfully re-housed. If you are interested in adopting a dog, or any other animal, please contact WADARS rescue line on 01903 217788 or go logon to www.wadars.co.uk.

Upstairs in Frasers Bar, make-up artists Jo Claydon and Lexie Hart had queues out the door as they turned children into all sorts of wild animals and superheroes with their face painting expertise. Meanwhile children’s entertainer Paul Winter thrilled the crowds in the auditorium with his puppet show and magic tricks.

The bargain ticket price of only £7 also included a goodybag for each child, and even refreshments for mum and dad! Plus of course, a chance to be one of the first to watch Bolt, the fantastic new film from Disney about a canine TV star who thinks he is a superhero.
If you missed out on this chance to join in with the fun and games, then look out for more Gala Screening Events coming this summer at the Connaught 2Screen Cinema!
