Mad Cows Spotted in Worthing…….

Union Place, Worthing was closed for up to fifteen minutes on Friday September 12 between 12.30 and 12.45pm because two mad cows were seen running amok in the road.

One cow answers to the name of Buttercup, the other is believed to have the grand title ‘Dame Daisy’.  Suspicions were roused when sounds of laughter, mooing and the occasional cry of ‘It’s Behind You’ were heard outside the Connaught Theatre in Union Place.  A number of passers-by stopped and watched in amazement as the two crazy cows frolicked in the sunshine.

The duo were joined by a selection of unusual individuals, an enchantress in a midnight blue gown, a young boy named Jack with a distinctive feathered hat, a young girl named Jilly who is rumoured to be Jack’s girlfriend and a dubious character named Burp who is a giant’s henchman by trade.

The cows escaped from the group less than an hour later and are now at large.  They should be approached if seen as both are friendly and comical.  The staff at Worthing Theatres advise that the cows seem to be very nervous of humans who use the words ‘giant’ or ‘magic beans’.

Wanted posters have been issued of the runaway cows and their group of comrades, if seen please direct them towards Jack and the Beanstalk which will showing at the Connaught Theatre, Worthing from Friday December 5 until Sunday January 4.
