An Evening of Burlesque

Direct from London’s West End, tantalising yet tasteful, camp and colourful, this fascinating art form is brought to life for your delectation.

As seen on national TV, the Mistress of Burlesque, Miss Polly Rae and her Hurly Burly Girlies marry live vocal talent with burlesque art.

This brand-new show – directed by William Baker (creative director to Kylie Minogue!) – is a ground-breaking first for the Pavilion Theatre.

With couture costumes, breathtaking choreography and a fabulous score created by Kylie’s musical director Steve Anderson, this fantastical journey begins with burlesque’s golden era of 40s and 50s Americana pin-ups. Wartime 1940s then gives way to Wall Street, Marie Antoinette to Japanese Geisha, as scene after scintillating scene unfolds.

It’s burlesque with a twist with an Andrews Sisters’ style version of Madonna’s Like a Virgin, a 1940s-style version of Michael Jackson’s Bad and Peggy Lee’s Fever mixed with Rock Me Amadeus! This superb show is for over-18s only.
