The Woman in Black - large

The Woman in Black

Over three million people have lived to tell the tale of one of the most exciting, gripping and successful theatre events ever staged, The Woman In Black, now entering its twentieth year in the West End. A lawyer believes a curse has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a ‘woman in black’. In an attempt to exorcise the fear that grips his soul, he engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story. His plan begins innocently enough, but as the borders between reality and make believe are blurred, the horror starts and the flesh begins to creep. Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s best selling novel, combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of fi lm noir. It is a formula that provides audiences with an evening of unremitting drama as they are transported into a terrifying and ghostly world.
