Worthing Symphony Society
Formed in 1982 as a registered charity, the Society is Worthing Symphony Orchestra’s most devoted fan. With activities ranging from staging concerts in the series to forming friendships with like-minded classical music lovers, the Society is clearly an organisation worth joining.
Members come from all walks of life, brought together through a common love of classical music. You are warmly invited to join the Worthing Symphony Society and be an important part of keeping this wonderful orchestra alive.
The Society has full financial responsibility for four concerts in the 2008-09 season. There are regular newsletters and after-concert parties where entertainment is provided by members of the Orchestra. By popular request the Alassio Concert Orchestra will appear twice this season with a programme of a lighter music genre, ideal for introducing first time concert attendees.
Benefits of Membership
Reduced rates for season tickets, free admission to rehearsals, newsletters, social functions, after-concert parties, discounts on Worthing Philharmonic concerts and free admission to the Worthing Music Festival advanced piano classes.
Patron Membership - offers all the above benefits plus refreshments in the Richmond Room Foyer Bar at Society promoted concerts and acknowledgement in Society concert programmes.
Corporate Membership - The Society would be pleased to discuss tailor-made packages for your company and staff.
Donations and Sponsorship - As a registered charity the Society can reclaim income tax on donations and sponsorship given by UK taxpayers. The membership subscription has been reduced in the hope that members will allow us to reclaim tax on the suggested minimum donations. Details of the sponsorship scheme are given in a leaflet available at the Society desk at concerts.
