Detailed Information

Payment for stalls

Please enclose a crossed cheque with your application form, made payable to ‘Worthing Borough Council’.  We regret we are unable to accept post-dated cheques.

Exclusive Rights

No trader has exclusive rights to sell a product and unless you sell something unusual or unique, it is possible that others may be selling the same wares.  We are constantly being over-subscribed with greetings cards and jewellery, so by request, we will try to limit the number of stalls selling the same type of item to six.  Will Craftworkers please note that we do accept a small number of bought in goods.

Sale Items

You must not sell any goods, other than those described on your application form, without the organisers’ permission.  We reserve the right to remove items that have not been specified on the application form, and also to occasionally allow the sale of interesting items which are not necessarily crafts at the Craft Fairs.

Cancellation

In the unlikely event that you should need to cancel your stall, your money will be refunded less £10 administration fee. We regret we are not able to give refunds for amounts under £15. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before each event. Additionally, if you do not attend and fail to notify us in advance, all future bookings will be cancelled.

8.30 a.m. for stall holders.  10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. for the public, who will not be charged admission.   Please clear your stall promptly at 4.30 p.m. before fetching your car, to avoid congestion.  You are not permitted to close your stall before 4.30 p.m.  All  stallholders must be completely packed up by 6 pm.   If a stallholder has not arrived by  10.00 am without notification we reserve the right to re-let their stall.

We will provide 6’ of tabling and two chairs per stall.  Use your space well but please do not use your neighbour’s space!  If you use more space without having informed us in advance you will be asked to pay a surcharge by the Duty Manager on the day.

Trading Standards

Stallholders are responsible for ensuring that all goods sold comply with current laws relating to the supply of goods and services.  For example, counterfeit products must not be sold, toys must meet safety standards, i.e. BS5665.  Further information is available from the local Trading Standards Office (Tel. 01903 839749).

Should you require a 13 amp power supply for lighting and low amp power, you must request it in advance.  If one of our extension leads is required you will be asked to pay a £10 deposit on the day, which will be refunded upon its return.  It may not be possible to provide all stalls with power.  Please do not use 2/3 way adaptors, although you may provide your own 4 way extension distribution boards within your stall area.  Please advise if you intend to use more than 13 amp.
